Advanced Module in Neuroanaesthesia

The RVI is a designated major trauma centre with a large number of neuro-trauma patients requiring neurosurgical intervention. It is the largest neurosurgical centre in the North of England serving a population of 2.5 million adults, children and neonates, providing a full range of surgical, interventional radiology and critical care services.

Trainees will be fully supported and encouraged to develop the knowledge and skills required for independent practice at an advanced level. The consultant supervisor will facilitate an individual program appropriate to the needs and requirements of each trainee.

The elective work is complemented by a broad range of out of hours experiences providing anaesthetic services to the full range of surgical specialities within the hospital.
